That all relevant workers are provided with suitable and adequate information, training and instruction in relation to confined spaces
Re-training or refresher training should be provided as appropriate for a particular workplace
The frequency of this training should depend on how often workers are required to carry outtasks associated with entry to or work in confined spaces. For confined spaces records of training must be kept for at least two years (WHS Regulation 76.2).
Employers, work sites and insurers may require training to be less than two years old.
As a guide:
If it has been around two years since your last succesfully completed training -
Select the "Refresher" version of the course and provide evidence, either by upload image or in person on the day.
If it has been more than two years since your last succesfully completed training, you may be considered out of date -
This course is assessed by a series of written and practical components, including inspection, fault finding and troubleshooting of equipment, risk assessment, preparation of and safe entry into a confined space.
Succesful completion will result in the issuing of a Statement of Attainment in:
MSMPER205 Enter Confined Space
MSMPER200 Work in accordance with an issued permit (pre-requisite for MSMPER205)
This course has been mapped between level 2 and 3 of the Australian Core Skills Framework. It is recommended that participants provide evidence of their Foundation Skill Level prior to the commencement of the course.
Note: All participants must be able to communicate effectively in English and must be able to complete all required documentation including Entry permits, risk assessments etc
